Twitter has teamed up with online trading and investing platform eToro to offer users access to real-time prices of cryptocurrencies, stocks, and other assets. The partnership will also allow users to trade these instruments using data provided through the Cashtags feature. Previously, Twitter users could view real-time trading data from markets-charting platform TradingView for a limited number of assets, such as the S&P 500 index and shares of select companies like Tesla.
The new feature will be introduced in the Twitter app, enabling users to trade using eToro and view market charts on a broader range of financial instruments. eToro announced the partnership in a tweet, expressing excitement about offering Twitter users real-time prices for a wider variety of stocks, crypto, and other assets, along with the option to invest through eToro.
Elon Musk, who acquired Twitter for $44 billion in late October, has implemented several changes to the platform since taking over, including launching a subscription-based plan for verified users and carrying out mass layoffs.
