The Ingenuity helicopter has been achieving remarkable milestones on Mars, with four successful missions completed in just ten days. On March 9, 2023, Ingenuity continued its streak with its 47th successful flight.

During this mission, the helicopter traveled 440 meters at an altitude of 12 meters above the Martian surface, reaching a speed of 5.3 m/s. The flight lasted 146.1 seconds, and its primary objective was to reposition the helicopter. Additionally, Ingenuity captured images of scientific targets for the Perseverance rover, which will soon visit and examine these locations.

In its previous 45th flight, Ingenuity captured a stunning photograph while flying above the surface, showcasing the mesmerizing Martian sunset. The Ingenuity helicopter continues to provide valuable data and images, contributing to our understanding of the Red Planet and our ongoing exploration of Mars.
